Beginner or Intermediate students welcome!
Learn the basics of creating a simple repeating pattern, and then carve it yourself and print your design onto fabric.
We will begin with planning out our designs and transferring them to our blocks to carve. Then we will go over carving basics, tips and safety, before we begin to carve. Once our blocks are finished, we will do some tests on newsprint and one print on Kozo paper before moving on to printing on our fabric.
You will be able to take home your completed 3" block, your tests and paper print and your completed fabric print.

Optional: Mechanical Pencil, art or design ideas you would like to try and incorporate
Winter Footwear: Please no wet shoes/boots in the GSA. Kindly bring indoor footwear to change into.
Please note: Masks are optional for this class.
