with Ryan Price
2 SUNDAYS, OCT. 28 & NOV. 4, 10 AM – 4 PM
Drypoint is a practice wherein tools are used to cut and scratch directly into a plate, which is then used to create prints. Electric lines, beautiful soft tones, the richest of blacks and a great capacity for detail are some of the notable qualities of the medium. Mezzotint technique and printing methods (including printing with chine colle and printing from multiple plates) will be covered in this two day course. A great medium for those who love drawing, those who love erasing and those who love seeing where an image can take them. Please bring any sketches or image ideas and any related tools, if you have them.
ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED! No previous experience required.
