HOW WATERCOLOUR WORKS: DAYS

6 WEEKS, THURSDAYS, APR. 27 – JUNE 1, 1:30 – 4 PM, $150 + HST
Have you ever wanted to learn watercolour? Well now is your opportunity! It's time to put that brush to paper, that paint in the water, and get ready to move. Students will gain an understanding of materials used with the medium, and confidence in controlling watercolour. Basic techniques like washes, wet on wet, wet on dry and how to create other watecolour effects will be covered, aiding the student in their technical ability and coupling it with their love of art.
MATERIALS: Recommended paint colours; Winsor & Newton (Cotman or W&N AWC) cadmium red, lemon yellow, ultramarine blue, sap green, burnt umber, burnt sienna, brushes: round # 6 & #8, flats: 2”, 4” & 6”, cold pressed watercolor pad or sheets cut to 9” x 12”, recommended Strathmore or Arches watercolour paper
