Brian Price

The theme and subject matter for this show is to capture elements of Brian's numerous canoe trips and nature hikes in the wilderness and along our beautiful waterways. It is a reflection of his love of nature. While he looks for the fantastic side of nature, Brian's intent is to capture the beauty of our landscapes hopefully in a fresh, unique way. In effort to be unique, he doesn't want to repeat the ‘postcard’ look that we see all too often.

Brian hopes viewers of his work will be able to appreciate the art as a warm reflection of nature from places that many probably have never been or perhaps other places they can relate to.

Greg McDonald

Greg McDonald is an Oakville Ontario based visual artist working primarily in ink and watercolour. His work explores the emotional resonance of everyday scenes, using impressionistic techniques to capture fleeting moments in time. His goal is to slow down the viewer’s experience and invite them into a quiet reflection of place and emotion. His work has been in the Southampton Arts Gallery where he is also an instructor of watercolour and ink sketching. He is currently working on a series that explores memory and place through fragmented urban landscapes.

Tracy Blackwood

A traditional Newfoundland song called “Me Rubber Boots On” was the inspiration for this series. A quintessential part of the fishery uniform is the humble Rubber Boots. Within my artwork, giving the Rubber Boots (an often taken-for-granted protective covering) a place of focus and attention elevates this simple footwear to a contributing feature of Newfoundland storytelling of life on the sea.
