Shelley Prior is a full-time artist from Burlington, Ontario. Her primary medium is watercolour, creating a wide range of subject matter in a highly realistic style. She loves to capture expressive lighting in her paintings, whether it be a landscape, floral, portrait or still life. Educated at Sheridan College in Oakville and at Dundas Valley School of Art, she has furthered her studies through classes and workshops with world-renowned artists. Throughout her 30+ years as an artist she has won many national and international awards and been published in several art magazines. She’s an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, Colour and Form Society, Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society and Women in Watercolor.

She is also a very active instructor, teaching many workshops and classes locally, across Canada, US and online. The pandemic created an opportunity to expand her online presence. This has led to a healthy social media following. She has been invited as a guest artist with Eric Rhodes and produced instructional videos with Streamline Publishing.
