Wyndham St Construction - Updated April 2026

As of March 31st, the lower section of Wyndham St. is closed for construction related to the Downtown Infrastructure Renewal Project (DTIRP) and access from the South may be restricted. The upper portion of Wyndham (where we are!) remains open from the West and the North for the time being. 

This project will be ongoing for a couple of years and we will do our best to keep you updated and informed.

Construction schedule and impacts

Here is the anticipated construction schedule for DTIRP Phase 1 closures:

• March 30: Wyndham Street will be closed from Wellington Street East to Cork Street. The intersection at Macdonell Street will maintain two-way traffic on Macdonell. Farquhar Street will have through access to Guelph Central Station.
• Late April/early May: Wyndham Street from Cork Street to Quebec Street and Douglas Street will close. A road connecting Quebec Street and Douglas Street will be created.
• End of July: Wyndham Street will reopen from Wellington Street to Carden Street.
• Late July/early August: The intersection of Wyndham Street and Macdonell Street will be closed for approximately one month.
• September 7: Wyndham Street north of St. George’s Square will be closed.
