Monday, November 24th 6:00-9:00pm
Instructor is Allison Rostic, the artist behind Red Squirrel Tail.
In this workshop you will needle-felt a bright red Northern Cardinal ornament. Needle felting uses a barbed needle to condense wool fibres into shapes.
We will create an armature out of pipe cleaners to define your bird’s shape and learn techniques for adding shading to areas using different coloured wools. Finally, we will learn how to add eyes and definition to your bird’s face.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and at the end of this workshop students will be able to create pipe cleaner armatures and needle felt chunky three-dimensional shapes as well as fine details out of wool.
Needles are very sharp so caution is needed when felting.
All materials included.
