Judith Elsasser is an accomplished portrait and figurative artist who has a passion to explore the beauty of figure and its revelation of the human soul. With her paintings she enjoys the challenges of capturing the essence of human conditions; be it in oils, watercolours or as a sketch. She graduated with honours from the renowned Three Year Special Art Programme at Central Technical School, Toronto. Elsasser continues to this day to be influenced by her studies with such noted Canadian artists as Doris McCarthy and Charles Goldhammer. She has received numerous awards and has exhibited her paintings locally and the surrounding region. She will tell you that “anybody can learn to draw it’s just a matter of teaching students how to see.
