Retailles is a creative and inclusive paper workshop located in Montréal!
"We consider the choice of raw materials to be the starting point of every creation; it’s the artist’s first decision in any creative process. In order to be coherent with our values, all our papers are the result of the transformation of existing materials, often leftovers from other objects’ production. Through this process, offcuts from the local fashion industry are transformed into pulp, and then sheets to keep them out of landfills and exploit the most of the materials.
atelier retailles’ essence is the idea that cast off materials are still useful materials.
Our fabric offcuts are furnished by local small businesses that share our values. The designers donating their fabric scraps are contributing to a circular economy system.
