Instructor: Sarah Fabrizi
This introductory course in watercolour painting is intended for beginners. In this course students will learn the fundamentals of watercolour painting. Each week will cover different topics, beginning with the absolute basics. Topics to be discussed include handling watercolour paint and brushes, colour mixing and theory, choosing the right paper, and essential techniques (wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, etc.). Through still life, landscape studies, and even a crash course in abstraction, students will get a broad introduction to this medium. For the final two classes, students will work with the instructor on an independent project of their choosing. Bring your curiosity!
