In this dynamic workshop, we’ll reconnect with your inner creative child. In the morning, we’ll enjoy playful exploration with watercolour washes and basic mark-making techniques, layering textures on watercolour paper.
In the afternoon, once our creations have dried, we’ll cut, fold, and bind them using 2-3 simple bookbinding stitches to transform them into stunning journal covers.
Each participant will leave with 3 to 4 mini journals and a wealth of ideas for creating more. No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided. Please bring assistive devices like glasses and hearing aids, wear comfortable clothing and bring an apron if you have one.
Your instructor is Margot Cudmore, one-half of Pomegranate Letterpress + Design. She’s been playing and learning and creating journals for over 15 years.
