Instructor is Tammy Ratcliff
Materials Included
Join us for a day of learning and exploring monotype printmaking techniques. This one-day workshop is a great immersion into different ways one can make a one-of-a-kind or ‘painterly’ print. This class is suitable for the complete beginner or the more experienced artist looking for a new medium to try. Either way, a great opportunity for loosening up and artistic play.
We will be working with reduction, trace, stencil, ghost, texture and painterly monotype techniques. We will be using an etching press, professional oil-based printmaking inks (Charbonnel) and a wide range of high quality papers including washi. All materials are included and no solvents are used in this workshop. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron and their sketchbook along with interesting textures (flat lace, pressed plants)
