Come join us to make lanterns from scratch! Using reed, paper and light, you will learn to create wild and wonderful lanterns from a primary shape that can be altered to make a host of different objects and creatures.
These lanterns can be just for fun, or in preparation for the 3rd Annual Lantern Parade in Exhibition Park, September 26th. Come and make something whimsical that lights up the dark!
Week 1 - Introductions, talk about lantern ideas and make basic structure with reed
Week 2 - Add additions to basic structure (petals, wings and beak, fins, other protrusions) and begin papering
Week 3 - Finish papering, begin decorating
Week 4 - Finish decorating, celebrate the completion of our lanterns!
