Celebrate the beauty of autumn through the vibrant tradition of Ukrainian Petrykivka painting, a UNESCO-recognized folk art known for its expressive floral motifs, flowing brushstrokes, and rich symbolism.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will create their own hand-painted fall-themed postcards, inspired by seasonal elements such as golden leaves, sunflowers, pumpkins, and clusters of viburnum berries (kalyna) - symbols deeply rooted in Ukrainian culture.
Participants will:
- Learn the basics of Petrykivka brushwork and decorative element
- Explore the meaning of traditional Ukrainian symbols and motifs
- Create an autumn-inspired postcard to keep or gift
- Enjoy a relaxing and creative experience in a welcoming atmosphere
