The paper used for the inner sheet is an original acid-free paper with superior writability, developed in collaboration with Oji Paper Co., Ltd. Although "acid-free paper" is now commonly used, until 1984, when APICA launched the first notebook using acid-free paper in Japan, acidic paper was used for notebooks, which could not be preserved for a long period of time and often became easily damaged. With the wish to "preserve important records for a long time," we focused on acid-free paper, which was used mainly for publications at that time, and developed a writing paper that was easy to write on and had superior storage stability.
